What I ate in Cairo, Egypt (Vegan)

Pyramids Loft (hostel)
Breakfast

I stayed at Pyramids Loft to see the pyramids. The breakfast of this hostel was really delicious. On that day, I could eat salad (tomato, carrot, broccoli, hot pepper sauce on top), pita bread, eggplant, potato, and bean curry.

Pyramids Loft (hostel)
Breakfast

I guess I was eating so well because it was so delicious. The cook brought me more food. I really enjoyed cooked vegetables.

Pyramids Loft (hostel)
Kushari

The hostel sold food so I didn’t have to eat out. The food was good and the price was cheap. Kushari is an Egyptian food. I really liked this food when I was in Egypt. Put tomato sauce on rice, lentil, macaroni, short spaghetti, fried onion and mix. You can add hot sauce, garlic juice according to your taste.

Pyramids Loft (hostel)
Breakfast

Lentil soup, salad (carrot, cucumber, tomato, coriander), eggplant and pepper, falafel, and pita bread
Breakfast was also good the next day. But the pita bread was too hard to eat. It was so hard that I had to break it with my hands.

Eish & Malh
Lemon juice

The juice was delicious, but it was not cool enough and the amount was too small.

Eish & Malh
Vegetable Pizza (Without Cheese)

Tomato sauce, paprika, green pepper, olive, zucchini
I love pizza. I also like pizza without cheese.

Studio Misr (Al Azhar Park)
Pita bread, Okra stew (without meet), Guava juice

That restaurant gives me a lot of Pita bread (I ate one and a half before taking pictures). It was really good to eat with the stew. The okra stew was really delicious. There were a lot of okra and the texture was really soft.
Guava Juice was too sweet and thick.

Felfela
Falafel

It’s the first time I’ve had such a big, crispy falafel. It was really delicious. I put it in a pita braid and ate it.

Felfela
Grilled Vegetables

Zucchini, potato, carrot, eggplant, mushroom
I think the vegetables were burnt, but I ate them well.

Felfela
Lemon juice

There is nothing like lemon juice after eating greasy food.

Koshary Abou Tarek
Kushari (special)

It was really good! There were lots of lentil, chickpea and fried onion. It was good to have lemon, too. Add garlic sauce (top left), hot sauce, and spice salt (top middle) to the tomato sauce. Then you can pour the sauce and mix it up.

Eish & Malh
Mango gelato

It seemed old since the gelato was made. There were too many ice crystals. When I ordered, I didn’t know if there was any chili powder in it. I don’t want to eat twice.

Eish & Malh
Fruit (guava, apple, strawberry, banana)

There was only guava shell, and the apple was not crunchy. But it was good to eat fruit after a long time.

Eish & Malh
Lemon juice (with mint)

I think I really like lemon juice.

Koshary Abou Tarek
Kushari (special)

I had to go again because it was delicious. I still miss this place. It was really nice.
